Attention Summer Readers!
We invite you to join us for this year's summer reading program "Fizz, Boom, Read!"
We have a fun-filled summer ahead with lots of exciting books to read and special library events. Come enjoy musicians, storytellers, magicians, puppeteers, and more. We'll be drawing, singing, eating and creating so don't miss out! We hope that all of these activities will encourage your love of books and reading. Registration for the summer reading program will begin Monday, June 30th.

Yoga and Storytimes Cancelled
Unfortunately, the library meeting room
has flooded. Due to clean up and mold prevention measures we will not
have Yoga on Saturday (5/17) or storytime programs (5/20 and 5/21) this coming week. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Our final storytimes of May will be 5/27 and 5/28. I hope to see many of you before the June break!

GCS Spring Break Activities
An Afternoon of Stories and Puppetry!
Tuesday, April 15th at 1:00 p.m.
Students from the SUNY Geneseo Storytelling Institute will be visiting the Wadsworth Library to present their final stories of the semester. The students will perform their original or interpreted stories. Please join us for an afternoon of enjoyable listening. Recommended for children K-5th grade. Stories include:
"Have to put a hand on it" by Amy Chan
Amy will share an original story based on a small favor that her mother asked her do.
"A Fisherman's Tale" by Justin Iaquinta
Justin will share an original tale based on his uncle, who may or may not be a fisherman.
"How Raven Stole Back the Sun" by Michelle Moshon
Michelle will share a porquoi tale which explains why we have light in the sky today.
"The Three Bears" by SUNY Geneseo professor, Michael Teres
Michael will tell the tale of Goldilocks and the three bears, using puppets.
Spring Into Reading: Story and Craft Event
Friday, April 18th from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Sigma Tau Delta, SUNY Geneseo's English Honor Society, will be holding a reading event celebrating spring on April 18 from 2:00-3:00 PM in the Wadsworth Library meeting room. In addition, we will have a surprise craft related to the season and a snack! This event is for school-age children (5+). Registration is required; the event is free. Sign-up today!

Open to ages 4+
Fireman Brian Shannon and Siren the Livingston County fire dog will be visiting the Wadsworth Library! Fireman Shannon will be sharing the story No Dragons for Tea by Jean Pendziwol followed by a brief demonstration and meet and greet.

Books & Babies is a lapsit program designed to introduce children (6 months – 2 years of age) to language and early literacy. Babies sit with their caregiver and model the activities presented through simple finger plays, songs, stories and nursery rhymes. Registration is required.

The Toddler Tales program is a blend of Books & Babies
and Pre-School Storytime activities. A variety of stories are combined with
