Summer Reading 2012

The 2012 Summer Reading Program is almost here! Event brochures are now available at the library and online. Brochures are also being sent home with students at Geneseo, York, and Genesee Country Christian Schools. Don't miss out on the exciting events this summer at the Wadsworth Library! 

Registration for the summer reading program begins July 2nd. 

Registration for special summer events including the Civil War Days program, Sing, Sign and Play (baby signing classes), and the Paws for Reading program is now open!

Sing, Sign, and Play @ the Library!


Tuesdays, 10:00-10:30 am
July 10, 17, 24, 31, and August 7, 14 2012

With certified baby signing time instructor,
Linda Schmackpfeffer

This six week session is recommended for
babies 6 - 24 months old and their caregiver. Each class is 30 minutes long and has a weekly theme. We will use music, books, and playful activities to help
hearing babies and adults learn simple ASL signs while having fun. Handouts will be provided with the signs for that theme. 
Registration is recommended.

May Storytime Programs

Books & Babies is a lap-sit program designed to introduce children (6 months - 2 years of age) to language and early literacy. Babies sit with their caregiver and model the activities presented through simple finger plays, songs, stories and nursery rhymes. Registration is required.

Pre-School Storytime
Tuesdays 10:30-11:00 a.m.
  May 8, 15, 22, 29
Storytime is directed as children ages 3-5 and includes books, songs, finger plays and crafts.
Registration is required.

Toddler Tales
Wednesdays 10:00-10:30 a.m.
  May 9, 16, 23,30
The Toddler Tales program is a blend of Books & Babies and Pre-School Storytime activities. A variety of songs, rhymes, finger plays, crafts and free play. This program is appropriate for children
ages 2-4 years old. Registration is required.
