GCS Winter Break (February 16th-20th)

Balloon Workshop (before the Balloon Crazy show)
Tuesday, February 17th at 12:30 p.m.

Join us for this hands-on workshop and learn to make balloon animals! Open to children 4th grade and up, this program will be most enjoyable for children who can already tie a basic knot in a balloon. Registration is required. Class size is limited.

Balloon Crazy
Tuesday, February 17th at 2:00 p.m.
What are balloons made of? Where do they come from? Science, environment, and art are all covered in this lively discussion of balloons (including flying, silly, and whistling balloons!).

Sing a Story - Read a Song
Wednesday, February 18th at 2:00 p.m.
Using a variety of songs and instruments, and her collection of "Books That Sing" (books that have been made from songs), Nan Hoffman presents music as another form of storytelling. Folk music in particular, with its emphasis on lyrics and stories, can help enhance reading, writing and listening skills, and language development. Nan's presentations are fun and informative and encourage audience participation.

"Let It Snow" Children's Evening Event
Thursday, February 19th at 6:30 p.m.
The weather outside is frightful - so come to Wadsworth Library to escape the cold with SUNY Geneseo's Sigma Tau Delta on February 19th at 6:30 and "let it snow!" We will read some wintery books, eat snacks, play some games to keep us warm, and make snowflakes to bring indoors! Hope to see everyone there!
